A thirteen-year-old-girl's-eye-view to fostering

My name is Amber and I am 13 years old. My family and I have been fostering dogs for protecting preloved border collies for the past 5 years. I love fostering dogs (especially the puppies) because it makes me feel like I have done something good. It makes me happy when I see them go off to their new home because I know that they will live happily ever after.

By fostering I am helping to teach these young pups what is right and what is wrong which is very important at such a young age. My mum often gets me involved with training, playing and feeding our foster dogs so that the dogs know that good things come from children and that children are fun. I especially like fostering pups because they give the best cuddles and I enjoy watching their personalities and confidence grow.

Sometimes it is hard to say goodbye and makes me cry but I know that I have done a good job and there are many more dogs out there that need my love.
