Zeus
We have been asked to help rehome Zeus. He was placed in the kennels by the local council due to his owner going into hospital and they have given permission for him to be rehomed. Zeus a collie cross around 7-8 years old, he needs to be an only dog or possibly with a calm bitch. He is not bad with other dogs but we don't think he could live with another male. He is quite small and again a happy friendly chap. As we don't know his history an adult only home would be preferred. Buddy
Buddy is a 3‑year‑old male neutered Border Collie who is affectionate, gentle, and beautifully well‑mannered. He’s a friendly, balanced boy who loves cuddles, enjoys meeting new people, and settles quickly in the home.
He walks nicely on a HALTI, is calm around other dogs and people, and travels well. Buddy can be left for a few hours without issue, is fully housetrained, non‑destructive, and shows no guarding or aggression. He’s healthy, glossy‑coated, and in excellent condition.
Buddy’s owner sadly can no longer meet his exercise needs due to mobility problems, and wants him to have the active life he deserves. His only training need is recall, as he currently cannot be trusted off‑lead.
Ideal home:
Someone who can offer him stimulation, regular exercise and love and patience. Buddy is a sweet, loving dog who will settle into a new home quickly and become a treasured companion.

Barney
5 years, 5 month old Red/White/Dark Brown, neutered male, short coated Border Collie
“Hello everyone - do you remember me? I lived with my brother Bear, & PPBC took us both in, so we could live in a room instead of the little stacked crates under the stairs.
I’m so glad Bear is happy now - I’ve seen his smile on his photos!
I’d really like to smile and be happy and loved like Bear please ….. who can help me?
I’d love a home where I can properly decompress, without expectations being pushed on to me straight away, when I’m already bewildered scared and confused. I can live in a rural, semi rural, village or small town near to green spaces.
Please could I have a human/s who are patient, who’ll look at me with kind eyes, and have the patience to really build a strong bond of trust with me, so I feel safe and secure. Who can do that, and set me up for success?
I’d like a simple life, with simple pleasures, like exploring round fields or big garden on a sniffy wander, where I can play and run with my ball and toys.
I’m quite proud of my recall, if I say so myself, as long as there aren’t too many distractions.
Please can I be the only dog, like Bear is? I long to be at the absolute centre of my human/s world, so I can feel all warm and fuzzy inside and know I’ve found my special person/s.
I’m quite well mannered on my lead when you take me out. And I look forward to my new human/s showing me the polite way to meet other dogs on walks, as at the moment I’m not entirely sure what I should do. I love all humans. and I’m not at all fazed by cars or bikes. I used to live with cats back in the day.
I travel well in the car, in the boot area in a crate. Which reminds me … I am crate trained, and at the moment I sleep in one at night. I can be left for a good 4 hours.
I’m friendly and playful, and I just want to feel loved. More than anything else, I long to be somebody’s best boy”
PPBC says “Barney needs a patient fully committed human/s who will take things slowly with him - go at his pace, and forge a strong bond of trust with him. This solid grounding is exactly what Barney needs to give him the confidence to engage with the world and its challenges appropriately. He needs to feel loved and accepted, and this will enable all else to unfold naturally, with a little positive reinforcement training. Like honing his curiosity and enthusiasm when meeting passing dogs for example. We’ll consider older sensible dog savvy children of around 11 and above.
Barney simply wants to please you. He needs his human/s to champion him, to show belief in him and most of all to love him. This boy just needs the right conditions to bloom.

Shadow - 15 months
Entire short coated Border Collie
SHADOW SAYS ..... "Hello, I'm looking for my humans. Can anyone help me? I love a cuddle once I've learned you're my safe people, and lean right in to snuggle with you. I never poop or wee in the house - ever, and I love my food!
I have a couple of guilty pleasures .... I might help myself to your cup of tea if left lying around, and I'm no stranger to a bit of sneaky counter surfing if you've left food out - I'm an adolescent ... food is life! But I'm learning fast that the humans don't like this, and I really DO want to be a good boy ..... maybe your good boy......
I enjoy being showered and dried .... I just revel in the attention truth be told!
I'm crate trained, and need to go in my covered crate for plenty of day sleeps, so will need my new humans to really understand the importance of this, as it's what keeps my teenager behaviour regulated.
I like to travel in the car and will settle and lie quietly, if you put me in the boot behind a dog guard.
I'm good with dogs on walks, unless they shout at me, then I might shout back, which is fair enough isn't it?
Strangers are exciting, I've been trying not to jump up to say hello. Ones I feel a bit worried about I might hide from at first, but allow cuddles when I know they’re ok.
I love the vet - all that fuss and attention, and love a game of tuggy or playing with my ball.
Because I get a bit worried, I like you to give me my own space when I'm eating my food. When I lived with two other collies, we all had our own separate spaces to eat, and I liked that.
You can leave me for a good 4 hours, while I snooze away in my crate.
My Super-powers? I can recall to a whistle, as well as command. I'm not scared of fireworks or loud noises, I sleep really well through the night in my covered crate.
My Secret Wishes?
⭐ Active human/s who will genuinely let me fully decompress, not rush me, so I can learn to fully trust them, bond with them, and know in my heart they're my safe people.
🌟 Human/s who will keep the core boundaries my foster human, Ruth, established with me, as they really work, and enable me to be a really good boy, while I navigate my teenage years, and it helps that I know what's expected of me.

Shadow can live edge of town or village near countryside, rural or semi rural (fine with traffic & noise). He can be a lone dog, or he can live with other dogs of similar size and even temperaments (bitches must be spayed) with careful introductions. He's lived happily with teenagers, so sensible, dog savvy kids of around 11 and above will be considered."

Lottie - 5 years
Lottie came to us from a farm due to her owner sadly becoming to ill to look after her.
She is a shy nervous girl who enjoys being fussed once she gets to know you. She needs a home with another dog to give her confidence and she has never lived indoors so will need someone with patience and understanding to help her learn to live inside. A rural or semi-rural area would be ideal.
Daisy - 2 years
Daisy is a collie x (possibly lab) and is looking for her forever home.
Daisy came to us due to not getting on with the other dog and children in the household.
She is friendly girl who loves to play. She is good with most other dogs (but can be selective about who she likes) but will chase cats. She is currently in foster in Wales and anyone interested her would be encouraged to meet her (especially if they have another dog to make sure they get on ok). Daisy needs a quiet adult only home.
Nia - 8 months
Nia came to PPBC as a very scared puppy. She has now gained some confidence and is looking for her forever home. Ideally we would like any interested adopters to come and meet Nia at our head office in Wales so they can get to know her a little bit to help with the transition. If you feel that you can offer this lovely girl and a kind and caring home and the patience to go at her pace learning about the world then please email us.

Buddy - 2 years
Calling all nurturing kind Ladies! … listen up … here’s a boy just for you!
Meet our Buddy, an adorable, 2 year 7 month old, entire Border Collie/Lab cross.
Buddy’s looking for a female only home, without dogs, or cats, with someone who wants a best furry friend, at the heart of her life to bond with. He’d prefer a quiet home that’s either edge of village/small town, close to countryside, semi rural, or rural.
Buddy craves the consistency and security of an uncomplicated, but active life, with his special lady human/s, where men won’t be regularly darkening your doorstep, and he can be a treasured mummy’s boy!
Young Buddy’s had a very rough time at the hands of an unkind man, and he’d love a new start, with a kind, patient, committed human mum, who’ll work with him, at his pace, to help Buddy leave the effects of those bad experiences behind him.
Buddy can pull, from excitement initially, and then walks well on his lead, even walking to heel when he’s into his stride.
He ignores some dogs, is quickly learning ‘leave’ with others and ignores sheep.
Buddy’s a nice dog, he’s very intelligent and receptive to training, helped by his love of food and treats, thanks to the Lab influence!
This boy will do anything for the promise of JR pets 100% meat pate!
Buddy is ready for his happy ever after! He will absolutely thrive with a firm but fair female hand.
NOTE: Any ladies interested in applying for Buddy, who are a match for his needs, can chat with Lynn about him in the first instance, and MUST be willing to travel to meet him, spend time with him, and walk with him, at least twice, at our HQ in Ammanford, Wales (by appointment only).

JESS - 5 YEARS
Jess is an affectionate girl and will readily jump on your knee for cuddles. She’s a worrier, and can get anxious and barky around strangers and other dogs.
She’ll allow you to wash and brush her, and rolls on her back to show you her tummy when the brush comes out!
Jess is an athletic girl and will need a minimum of 6 foot fencing, with a perimeter clear of any items that could be used as vaulting potential.
She is well mannered on her lead, but has never walked off the property, as she lives in the house conservatory, on a farm, with 25 acres of mixed woodland and grass.
Jess has had no experience of traffic, other than farm machinery, and little experience of travel. Her recall is reasonable but does require strengthening. Jess loves to play with her ball, and will happily retrieve it for you.
She shows no evidence of prey drive or guarding issues with food and toys. She’s never mixed with children.
She can be left for 2 hours initially and then gradually build it up.
Jess is not good with other dogs, and isn’t good with people she doesn’t know. She has a history of nipping, so this will need to be proactively managed.
Jess is seeking an adult only calm rural home without too many comings and goings. She is currently living with another dog but can be bossy with him so ideally would be better as an only dog.
SETH - 2 years
Seth, has a lovely temperament , happily interacts with his sibling, Bear, but we wouldn’t place him in a home with another male. He could live with a spayed female, with careful introductions.
Seth is good with people, very energetic as you’d expect from a curious adolescent, affectionate and immensely trainable.
Not suitable to live with cats or small furries and would need to be cautious around livestock until you understand and ‘have the measure’ of him.
Seth is strong on the lead, so this will need some work, he has no guarding issues and has good recall (this will need reinforcing in a new home), and he is fine being left for up to 4 hours.
Seth has had no experience of travel or traffic to date.
He will need time and understanding support from his new carer to transition into a home environment - he currently lives kennelled outdoors.
Seth is seeking a rural or semi-rural home where he could live with sensible dog-savvy children over 10.
Seth is in foster at our head office in Ammanford, Wales and prospective adopters will need to visit him there.
